Are you wondering what’s the use, as you wait upon the Lord?
Trying to make some excuse, for not believing in His Word?
For His answer might come late, so we need to learn to wait,
Or it migght come even later; Learn the worth of being a waiter!
Are you weakening cause you’ve had no spiritual food?
Do you realize the purpose of the wait is for your good?
And without the spiritual nourishment, the wait will be the harder,
So for sustenance while you wait, you must dig in the spiritual larder!
Yes, without the proper nourishment, how hard will be the wait,
But WITH it, you’ll be stronger, for the spiritual food you ate.
And you’ll not get weak and withered ere the battle rages long,
For the food will help to nourish you, and help to keep you strong!
Are you wishing for things that haven’t come, and feel your wait’s in vain,
And without the spiritual nourishment, you really feel the strain.
Please determine to stay in the fight, though the hour may be late,
And remember, all His best things come to those who watch and wait!
If you do not have them now, it may be they’re coming later,
So just stay within the battle, and learn to be a waiter!
Are you starting to leave your brethren, who desire to meet your need?
Endeavoring to help you, but you just don’t want to heed?
You’ve decided this must be your lot, your sad and sudden fate,
That it’s all been left to happenstance- Learn the worth of patient wait.
For nothing’s left to happenstance- it all is for our good,
And rely on that abundant Source of Life-sustaining Food!
Are you starting now to wander, and for other things to yearn,
Sadly wayward, further straying, past the point of no return?
You can trust for the Lord for guidance, and remember wait is worthy,
That all we see is darkenss, and a picture of the earthy!
And while you’re in the darkenss, just recall it’s for your good,
And rely on that abundant Source of life-sustaining Food!
And remember if you’re thinking it’s all left to chance of fate,
If like Him we’d gladly be, then the picture’s worth the wait!
Cause the reason for our darkness is to mold us to His Son,
And He cannot bring us to the Light until the picture’ s done!
No, He cannot bring us to the Light till the picture is complete,
And we have a perfect photograph to lay at the Master’s Feet!
So remember if you’re thinking it’s all left to chance and fate,
If like Him we’d gladly be, then the picture’s worth the wait!
For if He’d expose us early, then the picture’d be destroyed,
And if we’re not fit for service, no one else can fill our void!
