There can be deep despair when others cut you down and not allow you to grow. The poor suffer criticisms that they do not deserve from those that are too proud, thinking that they are better.

Severed beyond repair

with a feeling of deep despair.

The root is also affected

and is rejected.

There is some belief

with timely relief.

A well of knowing

is a seed worth sewing.

Will reap the tender benefits

bit by bit.

Getting off track

can be a costly matter

and can sometimes shatter

with all of the endless chatter.

Too many sounds

with a world of clatter.

A host of innuendos

with highs and lows.

A band-aid for the wounded pride,

taking solace in that nobody cried.

Remember who you are

and that you are a star.

Those that talk the loudest

are those that are the proudest.

Those that portray

this selfish way

will soon get theirs one day.

The poor have to suffer

because of those that are too proud,

so the poor must get tougher

and display thicker skin,

especially those times

that seem rougher.

It isn’t fair,

but be aware

of all the false

prophets that are out there today.

Consider yourself to be knowledgeable

and just walk the other way.

DB…A great work accenting the plight of the poor and downtrodden as well as those who feel to proud to ask for help. It seems to me that the poor already have thick skins…they need to in order to put up with the abuse and rejection that is meted out to them. We all need to walk a mile in their moccasins or a few hundred yards anyway…that would give us an idea about walking the – other way – I like It and voted to say so. Thanks.
