A poem about life and relationships.
Rain fell onto my face
falling down and down
covering every inch of my body
as I stood next to you.
No rain touched you at all
sun rays bounced off your head
making a halo that I didn’t see
while the rain created drops on my glasses
blurring my vision of everything in front of me.
The rain continued to fall from my eyes
when you said you were leaving me
a former friend who once felt like family
but didn’t really need me at all.
