I spent over an hour walking around a big book store this afternoon. Thinking about that inspired this poem.

Walking in a Book Store

8 Mar 10

Walking in a book store

I want them everyone

Books that would be great

For my grandkids to read

Found classics on the discount

Around the world in 88 days

Frankenstein

Tom Sawyer

The invisible man

I read them all by age 14

I once memorized

Edgar Allen Poe’s

The Raven

I had the complete Poe’s

In one thick book

Where are my books now

I think it would be nice to read

Them all again

Dracula

War of the Worlds

Dr Jeckyll and Mr Hyde

I would love to read again

Like when I was young

Ready by flashlight

Under the covers

Nice one. I’ve started borrowing all the books from my past from the library to read again.

That is exactly what I used to do. I always had my head stuck in a book. You sound really inspired. Good work.

Very nicely done. It is fitting to read this tonight as I spend about 45 min walking in a book store today. It is one of my favorite places.

Missed out reading as a child but love it now. A good write.

Bookstores are one of my favorite places to go. I got into so much trouble when I was a kid for reading by flashlight under the covers, or for sitting on the steps and reading after my sisters had gone to sleep.
