A short poem inspired by the cosmos.
So one night I was outside with my girlfriend, of the time, enjoying the ocean of twinkling stars. A conversation arose of how amazing it would be if the stars were having a dance every time it became night. Like if they had balls full of music in the cosmos. She had compared it to the ballroom scene in Beauty and the Beast. From this sparked a little inspiration for a short poem I wrote hope you enjoy.
Night’s nocturne is heard no more
As the celestial bodies dance galore
This waltz shall start
Hand in hand the stars collide
They come together then divide
Never do they part
Laughs and giggles and a kiss
Fill the ballroom full of bliss
Alive becomes the night
All they do is dance away
Before they see the light of day
The sky shines bright
A twinkle here a twinkle there
That’s all we see when we stare
This ball is kept obscured
Only those pure of heart
See this ritual from the start
But never souls impure
Then soon dusk returns to dawn
They finish soon before it’s gone
This waltz must end
So they bid farewell to the night
Thanking it for such delight
Waiting till it comes again
