Dark/Cynical Poetry.

Beautiful afternoon sunshine filled day.

In the background, you could almost hear The Waltz of the Flowers Ballet.

In the big city with buildings reaching high.

Sun smiles down as it shines in the perfect blue sky.

Busy people walking to and fro.

A peaceful calm sets even while on the go.

This day created by nature’s magic.

Weathers’ temperature not too dramatic.

At an outdoor cafe’ table, a handsome man sits and reads his book.

He glances at a crowd across the street, just for a quick look.

He locks eyes with the most gorgeous divine creature.

Aphrodite by her every flawless feature.

They gaze at each other with intensity in their eyes.

They’re souls singing in harmony to the perfect afternoon sky.

They walk towards each other in their Waltz of the Flowers trance.

In the middle of the busy street, they begin their ballet waltz dance.

People gather all around, humbled by what they see.

Two souls dancing away, in love, and perfectly free.

Waltz of the Flowers playing peacefully in everybody’s head.

Unaware of a chaos that has been born and bred.

Two car bomb explosions simultaneously go off.

Sending bodies everywhere floating unnaturally aloft.

The divine dancers still deep in each other’s stare.

Pull out their pistols and fire into the air.

Terrified, frightened, blood curdling screams.

The dancers still dancing still caught in a dream.

More explosions go off in rhythm to the dancer’s fairy tale harmony.

Glass from building windows rain down on this growing anarchy.

At the shell shocked crowd, the dancers now fire their guns.

Giving birth to survival panic screams: there is nowhere to run.

Bullets ripping and tearing through innocent human flesh.

Puddles of their blood, on the street, flow and mesh.

Streets and sidewalks riddled with glass, bodies, and debris.

Waltz of the Flowers now Waltz of Chaos, floating free.

The dancers embrace each other in this mayhem haze.

Waltz of Chaos now showing through their dream like gaze.
