I feel detached and trust me, it’s a great feeling. Today I got the inspiration to write this.

In the arms of the unknown Infinity

It was cold out as I was born free

And here today where I stand to be

Is what the world’s made out of me

And of one thing, there’s certainty

That I was born free; I will die free

But if I choose to create my own reality

I will live beyond life; I will live free

Have you or have you been ever loved unconditionally?

That’s one of the times when you were closest to being free

Freedom to do things is not a right, it’s a privilege. Look around the world, see how easily it’s taken away.

Loving unconditionally doesn’t set you free. You feel free and alive, but your elation is still born out of subjective circumstances, making you less free and adding more evidence that proves you are still bound to your human nature. I’ve been there, too, I know what it’s like. But only death has the power to set people free. Here on Earth we are bound by more things than we can count collectively. It is possible to live freely within such bonds, but to compromise those bonds means to step outside your bounds. Tread carefully there or your freedoms will disappear quickly. Even in relationships there are boundaries, who can say they are free but the single person? lol

No one is born free. We are all born into one circumstance or other, under one heritage or other. We are bound the moment we enter. No one dies free. Responsibility tethers us all. We are bound till the moment we die.

But take heart; no one can rob you of your nobility of spirit unless you allow them to. No one can oppress your mind unless you give them the reins. The secret to living “freely” lies within, where your heart and mind are completely under your control. Unless you allow your heart-strings to be tugged easily and your mind to be distracted by the slightest of subterfuges. But then again, that describes most people doesn’t it?

You are right about one thing – you were born free; but, as though by default, you have to live in bondage -

    @The Tick:

Well, I agree. And it seems you’re a fan of Bhagvat Geeta.

When I speak of unconditional love, I’m *referring* to the childhood stage when you were relatively free, inquisitive, joyful….you did not think in words. One of the reasons you are not that free is because we’ve been taught to think in words and also think ‘logically’. Words put the bar which can be overcome by the power of your imagination. Some of the most subtlest & meaningful things are NOT conveyed through words. That doesn’t mean you have to give up critical thinking either.

AS a child, you were loved unconditionally by your mom and so did you love her & the world unconditionally. I’m not saying that unconditional love is the condition of (or has anything to do with being free). ;) When I say “free” I don’t mean free of bondages. I mean freeing your mind & spirit for heightened elevated experiences. I mean letting go of your fears, believing in the so-called impossible. Seeing an opportunity in every situation.

“The secret to living “freely” lies within, where your heart and mind are completely under your control.”
Yeah one way to be free in that sense is meditation. I don’t plan to be a hermit though. I want all the bondages, the lures, the wealth…by choice. Do you think it takes no talent or creativity to make a good career or get rich or attract/influence others?? At the same time, it is imp to spend some time in seclusion.

We are all born with a purpose in life and what we do in life is to fulfill the greater purpose that is set forth for you. If you don’t you have to come back many times till complete that task.
I believe in the theory of rebirth and do believe that everything we do and say is a learning that enhances the soul.

Death is just a solution for cowards, its how you fight and brace yourself that makes you ready to face anything that is around.

I loved and I lost and that is what made all the difference, I flew to become an eagle that reached the Greater heights of life…
