I want to take your hand

I want to lead you down the path

I want to find you a path of your true self

I want you to find who you are

I want you to find that peace

I want you to have inner peace

I want all of this for you

This is your journey

I cannot want the path for you

I cannot seek the path for you

What I can do is love you

When you find that place

When you truly begin your journey

Will my hand be there

Will my arms be open

I could say it’s not about me

I could say it’s all about you

I could say many things

My heart waits for you

Does your heart wait for me

Does it seek me on your journey

Does it need me on your journey

I cannot make this about me

I can only hope in your freedom there is light

May your laughter return
