It smiles before saying hello.

Image via Wikipedia

Your face is warm and gentle
it smiles before saying hello

that smile speaks without utterance
there is so much noise

That noise of silent glad

 It come hither joy

Tall but not intimidating
the smooth giant of sorts

Towering like a shadow
same as the leaves on trees

When they sway in the wind
capturing your attention

then there you are
standing tall

Not sure the metaphor of tall trees fits well to a friendly smile.
