A poem about facing the coming global storms of life.

Warrior

Blast me, freezing winds of change,

Your stinging darts on my face I defend,

Throw your wildest gales toward me,

My warmth of love will be your end.

Government, sick your dogs on me,

Killer hounds you think are brave,

I refuse to take your vaccines,

Your poison will become my slave.

Take away everything I own,

Material things matter not,

Batter my body until I bleed,

You do not have what I have got.

I am a warrior standing tall,

I do not fear our world will fall,

I take the heat, so bring it on,

If you kill me, my spirit will carry on.

Turn our lives upside down,

Line us up, get out your chains,

I can take your torture all day,

I do not mind your psychological strains.

Send out your soldiers to arrest me,

I will go down, but so will you,

You cannot break my soul,

As much as you would love to.

Our civil liberties are a priority now because we have so much technology that all of it in the hands of a dictator will cripple freedom for centuries.
