A Love poem.

May your love wash over me,

as a wave upon the sea

May your fragrance never pale  ,

forever remain with me.

We met when I was young  ,

our song together sung

A seed planted in my heart,

hoping we would never part.

Our voices raised as one  ,

together on the path.

With patience and with trust  ,

journeying without fuss.

Like orange blossom in summer   ,

petals flying as if in play

Gently falling on skin exposed   ,

a  sigh to welcome the day.

Moonlight gone from the dark  ,

passed beyond our sight

Into the dawn of summer morn  ,

listen to the skylarks song.

In my soul your essence dwells ,

deep like a rooted rose

Let your love wash over me ,

and say I love you yet.
