The earth turns, rotating in solem darkness
With the shift of the sun, and the breath of the oaks
The black dirt soaks, and the grass gleams with flare
Spitting out an insightful stare
Do you dare to dream in a world of chance
Do you dare to break when people glance
The earth does not stop for people in trance
But sends a message in every creatures prance
The mountains roar, with fire and sage
We must move up in order to save
The winds howl, but we must hold fast
In order to keep our precious glass
Do you dare to win when the earth spins
Or is it in the presence of failure that you dare to sin
A blessing form above might bring you a dove
But you still wear a glove and squish the dove
Sending a chance away, may put you in a trance today
And yet you look away from creatures that prance
Beside you, in all of our dreams
Is a chance to learn
So get out of you gleam
And away from that trance
and step forth outside
Where old clay can become a new day!
