Despair.

Wasted Man

Image via Wikipedia

Writing’s on the wall,

Feel the spirit call,

Take another slam

Into a door jam,

You’re a wasted man.

Wine pours down so fine,

Another bottle in a line,

Feel the pain go away,

It was not meant to stay,

You’re a wasted man.

Why do you try to believe

Thoughts that you cannot conceive,

Why do you stay alive?

Hell is what you’re seeking,

Heaven is not peeking,

Through your blood red eyes,

It’s a fine disguise,

You’re a wasted man.

Concentrate if you will,

Your mind pays the bill,

You do not get a free pass,

When your soul is full of mass,

You’re a wasted man.

Why do you try to believe

Thoughts you cannot conceive,

Why do you stay alive?

Solemness is paramount in your flowing words that you share so well. You pen this so well that I hear, not only read, the words.
