Watching is a random poem that I wrote one day after being told a very similar story to what is written and being very amused at the thougt of a wman doing it.

Watching

After eating twenty small chocolate treats and drinking a rather large mug of tea, she walked over to the window, to see what she could see.

Outside upon the street in the pouring rain, she noticed a soaking wet man with his hand down the dirty drain.

As she stood there with her rather large mug of tea, she giggled to herself and smiled as the grumpy neighbour fished for his lost keys.

After a few moments of watching him for fun with a giggle and a smile, she decided to go upstairs and lay upon the bed for a little while.

As she lay her head upon the pillow of the bed, she stood back up and peered outside on to the street instead.

The grumpy neighbour was still there fishig for his key, then she lay back down again smiling and glowing with glee, then she went back again once more to see.

When she looked out of the window smiling knowing what she would see, she saw that the grate was open and he had forced it free, in his hand with pride was the small no longer lost shiny key.

With a little sulking look and half a reluctant smile the girl did pick up the phone and press the auto dial, watching him walking away as he smiled all the while.

Once she had told her friend what she had seen, she slumbered on the bed for a while before drifting to a peaceful dream, she even giggled as she remembered the funny things she had seen.
