As the saying goes, "Water! Water! Everywhere!" Water lends itself to a powerful imagery that we truly can’t do without.

Puddles, streams, lakes
Rivers and oceans
Are filled with water
Everywhere
But are they?
- – -
Rain, snow
And springs
Bring us more
Which we enjoy
- – -
Water may be
All about us
But most of it
Isn’t the right kind
- – -
It may be salty
Polluted
And unfit
For human consumption
- – -
Yet through it
We obtain food
From plants
And animals
- – -
We play
Boat, fish
And swim in it
- – -
Some parts of our world
Don’t have this luxury
Because they may be
Located in deserts
- – -
In other places
Precipitation
Is so low
That there’s drought
- – -
So water isn’t everywhere
Although we hear this saying
When there are horrific floods
It remind us
That water is a force
To reckon with
- – -
Water is a powerful!
