A man drowning as events overcome him, or try to overcome him.

WAVES OF PERDITION

The waves beat upon my face,

I fear that they will erase all trace,

My life, my being, shall soon be drowned,

I’m swamped, and I’m going under, bound,

Oppression, depression, and all evil ills,

I have been ravaged by all evil’s mills,

The water slaps and grips my face,

It pulls and draws me from this place,

I sink, and drown, from all this stink,

I fear their win is on the brink,

I want, I need, to rise above,

To leave this place of hurt therof,

These waters, these fingers of waves at last,

Try once more my die to cast,

I struggle, and pray, and reach for love,

To save me, and us, from this evil glove,

Communism is this sea of stench,

The one I try with all soul to wrench,

Away from and to claim my rights,

My freedom with gusto and all its fights,

A man, a nation, drowning in flies,

Cries out for help, to overcome these lies,

So help me, this nation, please,

Don’t let me, us, drown, in socialist seas!
