I look at you intently,

I guess something bothers you.

You are silent most of the time,

And never care to smile!

This unusual behavior of you,

Creates a premonition on me.

I can’t sleep at night,

Thinking of what bothers you.

You are hesitant to share your thoughts,

You are timid and have no focus.

I’m afraid to ask you,

Thinking of what you might tell.

I asked you why,

But you did not say a word.

I asked again,

And tears started to fall.

You hugged me and cried,

You said sorry, I wondered why.

You said you were sorry,

And walked away.

I followed you and ask,

For an explanation,

You answered “Sorry!”

You said you’ve found somebody else.

Though it kills me,

But who am I to hold you?

I hugged you and let you go,

And pray you’ll find your way back to me!
