Just my thoughts
:)

We are just like the stationery

Many types for various duties

Some look cute, some are lovely

All are useful for work or studies

We are just like the ordinary pencil

Created for one important purpose

As time passes by, it becomes shorter

It is the lead that matters, not the outer

We are just like the soft eraser

Making mistakes is very normal

We can erase and rewrite further

But if it’s written with ink, it’s tougher

We are just that the 15cm or 30cm ruler

Whether it is short, long, plastic or metal

Each has its usage, all for same purpose

If used for beating, may break into pieces

We are just like the envelope, for placing letter

It can be hand delivered or travelled to places

It’s the content that matters, envelope who bother

But without the envelope, how insecured is the letter

We are just like a piece of white paper

White, new, pure and innocent at first

Once it’s scribbled, folded, torn or crumpled

We can never look like the same sheet earlier

Maybe I will come out with another version later

As there are many kinds of stationery to name here

Meanwhile, friends, maybe you can think of additional

If I name all, the list will be just like the newspaper

Interesting, but I dunno what else to say. I spent some 4+ hours reading and commenting already and I am exhausted, so nothing comes to my mind now :(

This was really creative. You came up with a clever way to compare us to stationery. I never gave it much thought, but your comparisons made sense. Also, you use the cutest pics for your articles. They always put a smile on my face.

Star, very interesting comparisons and full of wisdom. Cute or not cute for the look, guess we should make the best use of all stationery. An enjoyable read. Well-done.

Very true Star! We are mortals who are born innocent and beautiful, but the world then gets about leaving its worldly marks on us and subjects us to life’s attrition, wear and tear-by the time we get to the grave, we are exactly what you mean…scribbled, folded, torn and/or crumpled! This is just as cool a poem as it can be! I liked it!

this is really pretty however, like pencil lead, we too get discarded at the end when we no longer have any use.=) sorry about the pessimistic attitude.lol
