This is about America’s obesity epidemic, and the social, political, and economical factors that contribute to it.

Pick pit stops at homogenous slick shops, where the

buck stops three ticks from the wrist

watch. Pissed cops jump on man with breath like mixed hops

and clubs bop his dome til’ legs flop. We,

each crop, mixed up in system – driven to

bash brains like piston. Mission to condition – their

position fixed in steadfast conviction, omission of choice

of diet and religion based on blind vision.

Large yachts slide over ocean like skipped rocks, trawlers

crawl on surface, fish traded like fixed stocks. From docks

to local shelves – in form of sticks and smoked lox -

frozen assets, cooked in crock pots or woks – all while

man lives inside of box. He walks

in worn shoes with ripped socks next to the blacktops

where gunshots are traded for crack rocks,

Currency nixed by six glocks.

Small coop locks away bird, ovum with no guest

placed in false nest. Fodder for those prodded without rest, cows clubbed

by hydraulics thumping like organ in chest. No

shock: heart seize up, freeze up without

under tongue melter. Another helter-skelter welterweight

punch drunk from blows of crowded dinner plate. Fats flow

through arteries clogged to capacity, judiciously applied sludge

tests elasticity. Taste of tenacity, bovine patties

grown from pain; liquid bone and brain. Stuck

in seat, can’t budge, hinges rust

from greased binges, must eat till stomach twinges. Feet cringe

with pressure from cooked meat, joints pop and creak

gained three pounds since last week -

mounds of ground beef compete with deep fried fowl without beak.
