Whats in store for us all?

As our planet is warming up fast
Cleaning up our act and staying clean
Releasing our green house gas
We must all go green.

Soon our electric and oil will run short
What’s in store we don’t know
Turning appliances off is our last resort
Back to coal we will go.

Then we’ll run out of coal. Soon we’ll be burning parrot pooh. Good poem, though…food for thought.

    Hi Sandie,
Nicely written. Burning of coal will also produce polluting gases and add to the greenhouse effect. The best way to save our earth is to use renewable energy like solar, wind, hydro, tidal and so forth.

Pretty good poem. My local electric company uses coal and it has worked out fine. Nuclear is also far better than some people will have you believe.

and the future has always seemed bleak so what else is new!

great poem about a very worrying subject! I did a poem about the icecaps melting but poetry is not my strong subject, I am to much of a bull at a gate!

Algae is the way forward for cars apparently, that or hydrogen. We all need to do our bit in this race against resources and pollution.

What we should do and what people will do are two different things!! It’s hard to go green for most people.

I like to think the brighter of us is yet to come–and when they do–their inventions will make oil and electricity look like 3rd grade science projects. Do not get to spend much time as I would like on Triond. I do miiss you. Thank you for reading me and being a lovely fan. My heart searches daily in this vague and vast world to find yours–and, in mere reading–a smile finds its way in mine’s! Cool!

Good to be reminded about this. We should all do what we can.
