We all today are remembering the death of Christ to cleanse us and give us new life. Nothing can be used to explain the love of God the Son to die a shameful death to save sinners. We remember how He suffered on the Cross to set us free from our sins.

How our Christ suffered
On the cross of Calvary
Just to set us free
From all our iniquities
We remember today
How the blameless lamb of God
Was crucified
To pay the debt of us sinners
“My God, My God, why hast thou forsaken me?”
Christ asked in pain
Because of you and me
He suffered for our offence
He died on our behalf
The best gift given to man
What kind of love is this?
That Jesus died for a sinner like me
This is wonderful love
No one could have done this for us
Only our precious savior could
That is why we set aside this day
To remember the favour He did us
By dying a shameful death
And give us chance to live again
Today is a great day
A day to worship and praise the lamb
For dying and setting us free
We are free indeed
