This is a poem about the pathetic state of morals in th present social scenario.
Lilies born of the dewdrops of Eve’s repentant eyes
To smile sublime on the threshold of Nature’s meads
With radiance stolen from the wings of the swan
And from the cheecks of the refulgent Hespera
The milk of Juno flowing through the intricate veins
On satin soft petals like nectarine ambrosia
Lilies peeking from the brim of a vase
Their alabaster silken gowns no longer fresh
They are wilted and drooping in mute gloom
The stale water filled in the glass vessel
Was sprinkled on the sad petals
And trickled down white petals
Like quiet tears of silent grief and distress
Like pearls of incandescent emotions
Its breath of purity and chastity
Is tainted by the stench of decadence
The tears pouring down blanch pale cheeks
Are incited by hurt and wounded sentiments
Those flowing due to the scenario witnessed
As blatant vulgarity dances nude with alacrity
And chastity and fidelity burn on the pyre of lust
As virgins lose their purity for experimentation
The silent lily laments the fall of morals
Those sinking into the quagmire of vice…
