For those of us working one the five-day week, with weekends off plan, Wednesday is the half-way point. For those of you who have different schedules, just pretend this is the mid-point of your work week.

Searching through the dresser drawers
For something clean to wear
Something that hasn’t got a stain
A rip, a raveling or tear.

Scarfing down a can of tuna
Mixed with oatmeal (cause out of bread)
Dashing out the door
With hair wet upon my head.

The air is warm, sun is bright
Cries of “good morning ring everywhere,
Somehow everything is better
When the day is fair.

At recess, the children run
Romp like puppies in a Field;
The chores I have attempted,
Produce a better yield.

Even if they haven’t
This week is now three days old,
Just two more days–
And then a week end bold.

A time to rest, to clean
A time to dream, and sleep
A time to listen to nature song,
When birds and crickets peep.

Maybe get some fishing in,
Read a book or two–
Cause it’s Wednesday, weekly workers–
This week is half-way THROUGH!

I really liked that Daisy. With the weekend only two days away the world seems a better place.

I know exactly how you feel. I have taken on so much in my life that I don’t get those breaks anymore.

Nice poem. Wed night was a terrible shift at the hospital for me. I didn’t get home unitl after midnight. I was suppose to get off at 11:15 pm. What a life.
