Doctors dealing with my PTSD and other disorders.

Looking deep inside me.
Be careful where you go
Cause you might see him
And have no where else to go
Did you see the light within me?
Or did you see my show?
That realms deep inside
To deep for you to go
Visions running through my head
Some people call insane
This rage roaming in my gut
Sometimes causes pain.
For all the grief deep inside
He finally gave me a pill
Hoping that my pain would one day heal
How can he heal
What he doesn’t understand
He hasn’t lived my life or seen my sacrifice
But what the doctors cannot see
It’s my will that’s driving me.
God, children and a loving wife
Helps me keep fighting for my life.
And when ever I am in despair
I remind myself of why I’m here

Nicely done, Lee. A loving family is a wonderful support for any problems, they can help you through. You keep fighting. God bless.

Beautiful, meaningful words. And, for me, I have doctors who I love. It’s important to me that they treat ME and not just my symptoms. PTSD is treated with anti anxiety medication so many times. It’s a bandage in my opinion. It just numbs the pain. There is so much emotional turmoil that need to be worked through.

Good writing. Short, but says so much.

    Deep, abiding, and insightful.

Very deep. You really convey the sense of a fighter, and I\’m glad that you are. There\’s a lot of talk about doctors treating symptoms and treating the actual cause of symptoms… This piece contributes very much from your first hand experience.

You are a great writer/poet. I too struggle with anxiety/social disorders/depression so I can relate to a lot of what you wrote. Keeping your focus on God and family is what my grandfather has told me numerous times. Sounds like you are going strong. Hope for nothing but the best for you and yours…m.r.

Usually, mediocre doctors prescribe drugs that only treat symptoms, only that and no counselling at all. But then keep fighting…

A doctor will try his best to treat you based on what he knows and studied in medical school, and we can\’t deny that we need them in a way but never forget that God really has the final say.
