This poem throws light on hunger and poverty in African countries,suffering from hunger,crime and struggle to be alive.

a dollar Worth’s life and death here ,and a dollar worth nothing for u there….

dollar worth food for my kids,and a dollar worth nappy for your kids there;

one dollar worth life and death here…..

dollar is no god for u there,but a dollar worth father and god here;

one dollar worth no happiness for u there,

and a dollar worth happiness for all here.

a dollar worth two time food here,and a dollar worth a water bottle there;

a dollar worth life and death here…..

dollar worth not enough to buy law and order there…

and a dollar is law and order here….

some girls lose their virginity for some cents here…

and dollars are trash for u there;

we have our complete skeleton to show because of hunger here

and u have fat due to  hamburgers there.

a dollar is a monthly salary here…

and a dollar worth trash for you there……..

our life revolves around dollar here not because we are greedy and needy ,

but at least we want our families to be alive here…..

dollar worth god for us here……..

what a dollar worth for u there………………………….

    Nishant—->thoughtfully written and a compassionate poem about children and adults who suffer from starvation and the loss of family and friends every day. According to figures recently released by the UN’s Food and Agricultural Organization, 6 million children under the age of 5 die each year of hunger and malnutrition. Half the world — nearly three billion people — live on less than two dollars a day.
