A poem about night, and what it hides.

Darkness unfolds like origami across tinted skies

Bare legs walk busy streets

Scattering for a fix

Black heels, red lips

Cross dressing, street walking

Hipsters with swagger and swing

Girls with cards that lie for them

Younger then they seem

Neon colors pour over cities

They change how you may see

What seems tempting?

Under sunlight

May not truly be

Seduction leaks from buildings

Ones you wouldn’t guess

Where people drink in secret

And lay there days to rest

Darkness has a secret

It’s a limited time deal

For sunlight’s always lurking

Waiting to reveal
