At the end of a broken heart is strength.

Emotions can be like a windy swell.

Swelling up inside and hurt like hell.

The gut gets twisted into a painful knot.

The days are spent as a dazed robot.

Sleepless nights can be expected.

Appetite is gone so food is rejected.

Constantly trying to make sense of things.

The guilt from my conscience incessantly rings.

No hope of relief is in sight

from this heart-wrenching plight.

I ask myself, is it really worth feeling this way?

My answer is no and that I will be okay.

What doesn’t kill you makes you strong.

I will recover to break out in song.

DB…Hark, is that the sweet sound of a Tennessee trill that I hear wafting over the air waves as you start to break out in song? I like this one and voted to say so…these experiences and setbacks are character-builders so we should always look upon them as positive things to cause us to grow…something that continues on even into old age…thanks for sharing and putting your thoughts in such fine form…
