A call for awakening.

Unblessed world

What has this world come to?

Where millions of families are loosing their home

Where the value of a man is calculated in figures

By the car he can drives, the house he can buy

Where a child is alone waiting

His mother working two jobs

And two jobs cannot pay for the lot

Where a father says goodbye to his children

For his tumour can be cured but he can’t afford the pills

Where a senseless game is being played by a few

And we are constantly distracted by something new

What has this world come to?

Where the riches of the planet are sucked away

Our soil, our water, our air, polluted day by day

Where species of animals are struggling to survive

Where families are broken a part shamelessly

Where people disappear namelessly

Where the greed of power is corrupting human love

And compassion is a word with meaning no more

Where has this world come to?

Where a soldier is fighting a war without enemies

Where the scream of tortured souls is silent

Where people’s religion only pray false Gods

Where TV is much louder than the voice of your son

Where we are lost in a meaningless race to have more

And in the race we loose our freedom to the core

Where has this world come to?

Where the hunger of starving children is just a picture on a screen

Where the exhaustion of a working child is justified

Where we buy our clothes so cheap and we forget why

Where we cover our eyes with the shimmering of false lives

And we let our kids to be enchanted with celebrities’ lies

Someone is wondering where all this comes from

Someone will wake a day and realise all is wrong

Somebody – maybe you – will call a STOP

Perhaps it’s not too late

(… if YOU wake up)
