Poem.
And life begins with pages turned;
the future’s hope is what we yearn.
Respect and love we try to earn;
while slowly down our candles burn.
As we grow,
what have we learned?
Bridges crossed or bridges burned;
each day we miss another turn.
Life gives it’s lessons quick and stearn;
Do we listen, do we learn?
As we live,
what have we learned?
Despair and loss we quickly learn;
while loved ones fill tomorrow’s urn.
We laugh, we cry each has it’s turn;
we pray we have salvation earned.
As we die,
what have we learned?
What have we learned?
What do we know?
There is a place, we all must go.
But, did we learn;
before we went.
That precious time is all we spent.
