It happened so quickly
I almost didn’t hear
What I had said.
When you said what you did
The reply fell out
Before I could realize
What I did.
I don’t want there to be
Any confusion about it.
And I certainly never want
To hurt you.
Nice people are to hard to come by.
Yet tonight was so weird.
And some things that you said
Rang a big bell.
And tugged at the strings
In my over emotional heart.
It came too naturally
That is unusual for me.
Now how do I explain if this is what I feel?
