Poem about what I thought I wanted. Reflection of the individual is important to understand why we are the situation we’re in. Many times a person doesn’t want to to admit their faults they just want what they want when they want it. Sometime we get what we ask for but in the end is is worth it?
What I want
I can’t plan for tomorrow for today is still here
But I won’t stand still and let things disappear
Problems I’ve had prepared me for the worst
My eyes tell my story of all my hurt
Take a glance only at your own risk
And within that second you will be frisked
So you wonder why I act this way?
I’m lonely, picky and dangerous in everyway
It’s easier for me to continue to build a brick wall
Many have traveled to knock down its tall
No longer the mighty born to excel
I long for some passion for someone sincere
But why waste my time
When he is nowhere… near
Who can live up to my standards?
Send a warrior my way
And if he’s a challenge he can have a short stay
Dominating… stimulates my growth
I once wanted it all because I had high expectations
But I had to look in the mirror as I’m my own limitation
