Want a Haiku explained to you simply with little text to be read and examples? Guess what, you’re at the right place.

What is a Haiku?

A Haiku has a pretty simple system.  It consists of a five-syllable line followed by a seven-syllable line and then five syllables again.  All it has to do is paint a good image in the readers head and with the short amount of space to write, it almost makes it easier to be made descriptive.

An example of a one verse Haiku:

Frost this morning and

A cold wind, scatters leaves like

Broken promises

Although, with these poems, you want to get the maximum amount of description in and aim to use words like these to a minimum:  ‘and’ ‘but’ and so on.

So good luck but if you have any queries about it, just email me at tommo41@yahoo.co.uk

I check daily and so I should be able to get back to you as soon as possible.
