The name can be a first name or a surname and also a first name with a maiden name and surname. In America the mostly friendly way to call a person is by his or her first name. In France it is the last name that counts whereas in Spanish speaking countries children for example have their mothers and fathers names.

The name is not only a person’s name it can also be a word to designate an object. In Kirundi God is Imana which comes from the verb “kwimana” which means according to God or to donate very carefully. The first name is often given at birth. This allows the parents to register their child so that he can attend school one day with a record saying when he was born. Parents should be careful when they give a name to their child for example to ease the work of gyneologists.  Parents can research first the first name and make sure their child will not have troubles with it but this depends on each person of course.
