Political correctness is a huge waste of time
Singers censoring all of their lines
Wondering whether their words will offend
That must drive them right round the bend
Comedians are cool because they don’t mind
And the people they joke about react just fine
Some of these terms are awfully strange
The people who think of them must be deranged

Stereotypes are applied to every country
So every Englander has to drink tea
They are applied to social groups too
Like every teenager has a tattoo
Most of the time they are totally wrong
Thinking that every person will belong
They drag the rest of their group to the ground
And make it hard for them to feel proud

It seems that the world is always at war
Me I find that it is quite a bore
All of the countries are scared of being nuked
They have good reason to be totally spooked
One of these bombs could ruin the world
If from a plane, one was hurled
So we need to learn to stop fighting
Then this world would be much more exciting

Politicians are always on the news
Talking up their latest theories and views
In order to beat the opposing leader
They seem to think that they are mind readers
Telling us what they think that we need
Hoping that this will make them succeed
Why don’t we have a different election?
And send the country in a new direction
