The journey is as important as the destination.
The turns of the road unfold before the eyes; but we cannot always see
What lay directly in front of our paths
No other traveler invades the space
No one to darken our way, or our maps
To effectually alter our pace
The road I travel today rest on higher ground and I spy with a certainty
Hints of beauty speak to me as I slowly pass
They keep me moving onward with a smile on my face
Fueled by hope and love, no need for petrol gas
Only that which I see far off calling me to grace
My journey has been long and I cannot say when it will end; it will eventually
I have been wounded by the arrows of wrath
Bludgeoned by betrayals leaded and blunt mace
Endured terrible trials and fallen into many traps
But they fade in the distance as I view my new place
