A restless life.

Do I read or do I write?
Do I sleep ’til ten or rise at morning’s light?

Do I go for a walk or shop at the mall?
Do I lounge around and do nothing at all?

Do I do housework like a good wife should?
Or do I do what makes me feel good?

Cookies, bread and muffins I can bake,
Toiling so hard until my body aches.

There’s dishes and laundry and scrubbing the tub,
Or watching t.v., or getting a full body rub.

There aren’t enough hours in the average day,
To do what I must or do what I may.

No time for chores and relaxation.
No time to follow my life’s ambition.

Being wife and mother is a joy to me,
But so are reading, writing and watching t.v.

Before I know it, the day has come to an end.
I accomplished nothing so tomorrow I start again.

Are we living the same life? This is so true! We need to find out how to be good mothers and fulfilled women.

Ah, so very true. I suppose all we can do is to try and make the best of each day that we have, and just be thankful for each day that we are blessed to have.

I think that all women can relate to this poem. The problem is not trying to decide BUT making the day have more than 24 hours… :)
Thanks for writing this poem for us
