As humans with relatively high intelligence and what we think to be pretty good instincts, we like to think we are in control of the world. But the fact of the matter is, we cannot stop one drop of rain from falling, one strong wind from blowing, one volcano from erupting, or even one person from dying. We have no idea what will happen tomorrow….

Who can say what tomorrow holds
Life is a mystery ever evolving
Full of twists and turns, the plot
Unfolding before our eyes
Things we thought would happen
Yet to materialize, in fact
Things we never dreamed of
Coming into view, ever surprising
We are not in control, regardless
Of what we think, our intelligence,
Our abilities, our talents
Are not enough to sustain us
We are all merely players, puppets
On the stage of life
Behind the scenes
The master’s hand at work
And only He is certain
Of how the story ends
