Are you a SAM? Do you want to be a SAM? A poem about a SAM.

If you clean up , do laundry, pick up toys all day, then you are a SAM,
Do you make breakfast everyday,
Do you make up the beds,
Do you wipe down the kitchen counters.
Wash dishes and dry,Do you cry for your favorite love scene on a daytime soap?

If you work from  home, save gas on your commute
Arrange your daily schedule around your little ones
Manage playtime and all the home schooling fun
Create new learning games
Build new castles in the sand,
Draw, color, and sing,
Then, you are a SAM,a  Stay At home MoM
That cares for her fam

A SAM, who protects and manages the home
Kisses all the boo boos
Patches up the sores
Hugs away the blues
The One and Only secret pal to Santa and the Easter Bunny
The Tooth Fairy’s snitch
The one who is called upon to get the little riders out of the ditch

While papa’s away
The craft maker
The tailor, the baker, and everything, but the candle sticker maker

Enjoying your time
Working on reading, writing,  and rhyme
The colors, the ABC’s, the numbers : 1, 2, 3
SAMs have a tough call
From 8-5, until papa comes home
They work from their castle, their tower in the sky
They change diapers, cut onions
Run errands and all
Until one day their little toddler is no longer small
Then the  tears will begin to fall.
