This poem is a renderance regarding life and it’s many conundrum’s.
What’s black, what’s white…
What’s wrong, what’s right?
Shades of grey against the night.
Charcoal embers burning bright.
Soulful bliss, warm feeling and right!
Comforting, soothing, rich as a mountains height.
Mixing, twirling, seemingly spiraling towards an unseen tumultous light.
Grasping to have; and hold on to. With all one’s might.
A love that for a time seemed oh so right!
Blinding, forceful, blunt, and un-nice.
Killing, and yet chilling; turning a warm heart to pure ice.
Mistrust bred, emotions silently ripped to shreds.
A heaviness brooding… making one wish they were dead.
Growing tired of humanities mess.
Insulting one’s mind into relentlessness.
Often bored with indignities of life.
Struggling to fantasize a world without strife!
So tell me scholar, if you can… what’s wrong, what’s right?
Or… better yet: What’s Black And What’s Right!!!
A message seemingly lost in time,
Without even the luxury of rhythm or rhyme.
Pages turned through the passages of hands.
Expected to bring harmony throughout our land.
The ink is clear, the stanza is plain…
So tell me why there is so much heartbreak and incessant pain?
What’s black, what’s white; or even in between?
Determine this never-ending dilemma; before I let loose and scream!
