A writer with writer’s block took a vacation to clear his head .What he came back home with gave him a bestseller.
Whats in the Mist of Waverly Loch?

I was a writer with a huge writers block,
so I took a short vacation in Scotland.
Finding a local pub that seemed lively,
I ordered a pint of ale and found a stool.
****
Four old men and the bartender was into it,
each raising his voice above the other men.
They all insist they were right about the loch,
for they had seen it with their own two eyes.
****
Patrick slammed his full pint of ale on the table,
insisting that he knew he saw what he did then.
A man with webbed feet and hands emerged,
a survivor when the city of Atlantis had sunk.
****
Brian put his cigar down and laughed at Patrick,
telling him that there were no known survivors.
It is a sea monster with super sharp long tentacles,
This sea monster could easily bring a ship down.
****
Teddy gave a huge roar scaring the entire crowd,
you two fools are drunk and got it wrong as usual.
It was a man eating giant shark that lived in there,
able to walk on the land and eat the villager’s children.
****
The Twins Bobby and Tommy put their two cents in,
insisting that everyone at the table was dead wrong.
They swore they saw a demon that lived in the waters,
It had yellow eyes, sharp fangs and very wide wings.
****
Meanwhile the old man in the corner had not spoken,
just shaking his white head at the whole conversation.
When it was time for everyone to go home for the night,
the quiet old man asked me to stay behind for a minute.
****
He said his name was Abe and knew I was a famed writer,
but the drunken fools didn’t have a clue what was out there.
But if I could keep a secret but write about what I heard,
Abe would tell me what I needed to write a best seller.
****
So I wrote about what I heard and what Abe had revealed,
it was the best seller as the quiet old man had predicted.
But I did keep my word to Abe about the lochs secret,
my book never mentioned what lives in the Waverly loch.
