When a Person Creates Art.
It’s always great to hear from people who are following my artwork. I guess the point of any artistic creation is to share it with as many people as possible, thus allowing the individual to transcend time through the artistic creation. When people write a book, sing a song, or take a photograph they generally share the creation with as many people as possible. Whether this means hiring a talent agent, sharing Photographs on Facebook or playing a violin for hours on end in a Manhattan subways, artists will work with an almost effortless ease and sense of Freedom* in order to find a way to be heard by the world.
When a person creates something, say for example when a person has a novel published, the manuscript is then printed in mass quantity before being sent out to people in different parts of the world VIA Kindles, Barnes & Nobles, Amazon, and many, many other retailers. At this point, the author is then able to transcend time through the creation, which is now in the hands of people around the world, allowing the author to be in multiple places at the same time. Authors like Ann Frank model this idea- Although I have never met Ann Frank I have embraced her creation by reading her words and absorbing her artistic creation. People come and go every day but artists are always remembered. Their creations, whether it be a painting, a photograph or a speech reach people around the world and allow the artist to transcend time.

One of my great friends, Mike Biondi found a large part of his soul through Poetry writing. I met Mike in middle school back in the days when we would ride our bikes to Mcdonalds and build forts in my basement. Like I said, it is always great to hear that people are following my artwork, including Mike who saw one of my Photographs and went on to write a sweet piece about the inspiration it gave him. Take a look! It was really cool because the words he chose couldn’t be more ironic to my thoughts when taking the Photograph as well as my thoughts looking back on it.
Enjoy!
Aged trees born before our time
mirroring newly built power lines.
Both sending pulses to the living
along the road.
but where does this road lead
on such a gloomy day?
And what do others see
in the way these clouds lay?
The snow turns to rain
creating puddles on pavement
waiting for water to be mixed
with newly-aged pulses…
to cause the most beautiful electrocution
the world has ever seen.
And little the headlights in the distance know,
they will just be caught in between.
