WHEN ANGELS SANG GREAT SONG

‘Twas a most blessed night,

When angels sang great song,

A star in the wondrous heavens,

Telling us who was among;

The hosts of places heavenly,

Messengers of adoration and hope,

Gave such a message – Wonderful!

That our God is grander in scope;

Higher than all the heavens,

Wider than great rolling seas,

King of all created stars,

And we should fall on our knees!

‘Twas the night His plan was realized,

As Son of Man – His birth,

Showing His love for all of us,

To signify our worth;

As babe He brought His love to us,

The angels proclaimed His coming,

To walk and live a sinless life,

He paid for us by loving;

‘Twas a blessed, most holy night,

When angels appeared on high,

Wise men through the ages,

Would know, and love, and cry!
