When I say I love you, it’s more than just words.

They have my full commitment behind them; not just two-thirds.

When I say those three words to you, I’m not just trying to get you in bed.

And, I certainly am not trying to mess with your head.

When I say them to you, it’s as though my heart beats out the rhythm.

And there isn’t a single thought in my head that tells me I don’t mean them.

It doesn’t matter if you’re all dressed up or if you’re a total mess.

I can say those words to you and have absolutely no regrets.

When I say I love you, I’m not just trying to be clever.

Because there is no doubt in my mind that I want to be with you forever.

I’ll mean those words every second of every day.

Even if everything else around me is in disarray.

When I say I love you, it’s something I’ll insist,

Because I know I’ll die happy if I can enjoy just one last kiss.
