How do you know when to move on?

Is it when time moves beyond years
Or when cries are devoid of anguish  and hated tears
Is it when the love you knew has no memory of you
Inspiration becomes a muted orchestra of deafening sounds
Is that when it is time?
Maybe it’s when the pain in my eyes are too much to bear
When you beg for affection looking past a distant stare
Maybe we should stop trying to annul an ending,

so we can start being friendly
You surrender only to continue in defeat
Is it when your pleas only bring about provisional fixes
When the myth dies and the truth fades into a lie
And we get tired of struggling for two

Realizing that it only takes one for change
