A lot of things go through one’s mind when their eyes meet and lock with someone they can do anything to get acquainted.
You looked at me once,
And I stole that look at
You more than thrice
That was when you summoned
The needed courage to get close
To making up your mind
On whether to come toast me
Or keep your imaginations to
Yourself
That moment of hesitation made
Me want to turn fully to face you
And practically beg you to move closer
So that you will fill the quake that
You have ignited in my
Poor body system
My brains did a back-flip
While my groins shivered
In anticipation
That anticipatory feeling
That has become a faux pas
When allowed to take place
It is not my place to beg you
To get closer to me
And whine your endless love for me
Such love that comes to us
On the spur of the moment
The moment of setting eyes on an entity of your desire
I said my silent prayers
As I turned to face the rest of
The guests in this beautiful environment
A coming-together of like minds
Who have come to mingle freely
Yet but not that freely
When I took that sigh of boredom,
I felt a tug at my dress
And there you are
You have come to ask me for pleasure
Of the last dance
You finally brought your body next to mine
