Playing with words for the Writing Challenge # 11: keywords – bad smell and disappointment.
“Something smells bad,” said Mr. Nose.
“And, yes, it’s coming from somewhere close.”
“Can’t smell nothin’,” quipped Mr. Ears.
“But I hear you snortin’ and sniffin’ there.”
Mr. Eyes joined in, “I sure can’t smell.
And I see no garbage or clutter near.”
“Don’t look at me, all three of you!”
Mr. Mouth chided, “Just gargled, you know.”
All four of them, they looked within
And surmised where the bad smell came.
“Ah, you’re such a disappointment, Mr. Brain!
You, and your rotten thoughts, are at it again.”
Mr. Brain cried, “Oh, give me some peace!
Just let me be; mind your own business..”
