A family strive to make their life work. This is aimed at one particular percentage of people but could quite easily, with changed words represent all families.
One day when the rain came,
after many long days of drought.
We thought we would go insane,
so long since we had lifted our heads,
to feel wetness from up above.
**
But with the rain came more,
much more than we bargained for,
the ground was so hard you see,
the rain bounced then slid away,
gone never to do its job and destiny.
**
Tears started to well up in our eyes,
as parents shouted orders,
the adults were running everywhere,
Fathers, Brothers, Mothers and Daughters.
**
We had just started to plant the seed,
you see, to keep us fed and not hungry,
but now that plan had fallen apart,
**
where do we go now?
**
my tear filled eyes look up into the sky,
silly really I do not know why,
but maybe the answer will come.
**
Our fate is in our hands,
we need to take charge,
get a break from some where,
some how!
