No place like home.

It’s an evil wind that blows no good

Cold, stinging and heartless

Roaring down from a windy cliff

Bearing down upon topless trees

Chilling me to the bone

Robbing the warmth from my very being

Giving me little time to recover

Showing no mercy for a wind beaten soul

Stumbling, racing against the wind

A beautiful sight before me

Lovely piece, Shirley. Home is where the heart is, wherever that may be.

Nothing feels so good as getting home on a cold wintery day.
