I like this poem too.
When you look at me there’s pain,
For you still look at me like you like me,
Like you care for me,
LIke I’m a treasure,
Just for you
When you look at me there’s pain,
For I see all the memories that we’ve had,
In your dark brown eyes,
The eyes that used to think I was beautiful,
Something special,
A rose
When you look at me there’s pain,
For you usually tell me the truth,
The truth that hurts,
And eats myself away
When you look at me there’s pain,
For I yearn for you to like me,
Like a month ago,
When we would hug each other and kiss
We’d be down my basement,
On the pull out couch watching movies,
While my friend would be on the floor,
Not saying a word
You’d put your arm around me,
And embrace me with your love,
We’d lie down and sit speechless,
Making the moment magical
When you look at me there’s pain,
For I know that there will never be,
A relationship with you,
That’s more than a friend
