By Christopher Bernard Lidstone.
I know someday peace will come
And maybe I’ll find someone
To share with me, my shattered life
And stop me from, mourning my wife
-
I wonder where that girl is now
And is she wondering just how
She’ll get through this world alone
If I knew her now I’d phone
-
I’d tell her, it wouldn’t be long
We’ll be friends and chose a song
I’ll walk with you and hold your hand
We’ll share our pasts and understand
-
As we both begin to know
The pains we had will start to go
We’ll find love can still be new
Not long now, I’ll be with you
-
But I still don’t know your name
Where you are or from where you came
Where we’ll meet or where I’ll go
There’s so much that I don’t know
-
But I know that you’re somewhere
Way out west or maybe here
For right now you’re just a dream
But I need you just the same
-
I write a lot of things to show
About my life and things I know
Maybe I will show you this
And if you think it’s you we’ll
